Last week the project team organised a workshop at the EGI2024 Conference in beautiful Lecce, Italy.

The workshop was titled "Digital Solutions to Reduce the Risk Factors Causing Dementia" where the team aimed to:

👉 explain how the Lethe project is capturing patient data through the App.
👉 present the Lethe App, clinical trial monitoring system (CTMS) and risk profiling.
👉 show how the project is using the EGI Fedcloud for the Lethe infrastructure.

During the panel discussion, Hannes Hilberger, Vasileios Loukas, Ignacio Lamata, Ville Tenhunen and Jon Switters touched on issues such as the challenges expected from the training of the AI models, how the nature of health data has affected the Lethe architecture design and implementation, and what can be expected from the additional features of the Lethe app.

Exciting Progress in the LETHE Project!

On Wednesday, June 5th, Mattia Pirani from i2grow and Anna Giulia Guazzarini from the University of Perugia visited Miriam, a valuable member of the LETHE advisory board that is convened by Alzheimer's Association .

During the visit, they installed and demonstrated the capabilities of two technologies: the Temi Robot with a custom version of the LETHE app, and the innovative audio glasses from Fauna Audio Glasses paired with the LETHE Glasses app.

These technologies are essential for the two substudy phases of LETHE, which aim to explore the acceptance rates and feasibility of these interactive technologies in delivering an innovative modality of interaction and engagement within the LETHE lifestyle programme.
Our main goal was to test these advanced tools and gather Miriam's feedback.

Stay tuned for more updates on our journey to identify and help prevent the early signs of dementia!
